The one French Cat

I just want tO express how stoked I am for joe to come home from France or Sweden. I look forward to laughing at him and with him. I miss him a lot and would like him to come live with me in Hawaii.

Joe would be pissed about your last sentence.

It has been a while for me as well. I do have a laptop so I am without excuses. Nevertheless, I don't have much to write about these days. I've been working like a mule these last couple of weeks, and will continue to do so till Christmas Eve.Because Fedex can sometimes be the tits, I have "baby bonding time" or "Paid Family Leave" that i will be taking starting the day after Christmas. So i will have Dec 25th to Jan 11th off work. SOOOOO STOKED!! So I am looking forward to surfing with those of you who will be home for the holiday. Jackson is still funny.

Been a while

I'd like to blame the fact that I don't have a laptop anymore and the only time I'm on a computer these days is usually for school, but I know its no excuse. So, this past semester I've been going on a lot of dates. I even took my really close friend Aubrey Smith on a date, just so I could feel it out cause our friendship is sooo good, I went for it, not kissing or anything just telling her I'd like to try, and it made for an awkward few days, but I had a bad feeling about it after I threw it out there, so two days later we went on a second date and cleared the air, I told her I realized that we were too close and the transition is past the point of no return. She was relieved, she thought that I thought that she was my gear. Well, since that kind of embarrassing experience I haven't taken any girls on dates. I'm just cruisin' doing school work. I finished a 42 page grant proposal for my NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) class. It killed me every week. But I just finished my last paper moments ago for this semester!!! Just one final, then I play till Saturday, then I come home!!!

I bought a Strung Out ticket moments ago as well, for Dec 29th, in Santa Ana!!! SOOOOOO STOOOOKED!!!! I haven't seen them since 2007! Well, I'll be seeing a few of you idiots soon and others...not so much, but I love you and hope you are successful in all your endeavors.

Whats up fellas?

As some of you may already know, I recently returned from an excursion of a lifetime. My cousin works for Delta and she found me a round trip ticket to Milan, Italy for $400!!! They usually go for about $1500. Needless to say, I packed my bags and set sail 4 days later. My gear was stoked. She planned several activities for us to do during my stay. I ended up being upgraded and flew first class out of JFK to Milan. And also on the way back. I felt like a baller. After 30 hours of planes and Italian trains, i met up with my gear in Florence. It had been well over 2 months since we had last seen each other. Awesome day. So we spent time in Florence, Sienna, and Rome. They were all such sick places. Seriously, my mind was because I kept thinking about how much history is over there. Some of the worlds greatest and most artisitic minds (with the exception of Nate) walked the very same streets that I did. We went to the Colosseum, say some amazing sculptures by Bernini, awesome art work by Michelangelo. Raphael, and da Vinci. Also saw some work by one of my favorites...dude named Albrecht Durer. Truly incredible.

I could type several pages just about the food that I ate over there. IT WAS AMAZING. Pizza, pasta, gnocchi, tiramisu, and sandwiches with fresh mozzarella. So incredible. If we didnt do so much walking, I would have easily gained 10 pounds. No joke.

It was such a sick experience that I know for a fact i will never regret. It broadened my cultural horizons and it allowed me to experience the world from a different perspective. We are truly blessed to have a loving Heavenly Father who has given us an opportunity to spend time on this earth. I learned that while we are here, we should explore and enjoy His creations as much as we can. We should also make an effort to acknowledge and enjoy the brilliance of enlightened and inspired minds that have, and will continue to have a major impact on different cultures throughout the world.

So just now as im writting this, a girl calls to this guy down the hall, he screams like a girl and starts running/frolicking towards her......anyways, as for my update. I am freaking busy with work, school and trying to plan this wedding deal. Two weeks from today!!! Crazy, i just can't wait for these two weeks to pass. Other than that, just sitting here in provo getting ready to freeze. Oh, and we moved Maria into our new apartment (Jesse helped), so that was cool. Sorry for the long blog.....Nave, how long are you going to be in that Italy place?

Funny

Attention Idiots:

We suck at posting on this blog. I realize that I haven't posted in quite some time and share the shame/blame of a lame blog.
I guess a quick update is in order:
I'm still working and Fedex, which I have mixed feelings about. Jackson is a funny prankster who's thighs are getting ever more chunky, and Bridgette is a great mommy.
I still have yogurt for breakfast almost every day, and Basil is still outta commission. I'm looking forward to the Christmas season cuz i know some of you guys will be coming home and hopefully we'll be able to laugh and surf.

Still Hoozing it Here in Hawaii

So there is this girl named Rachel Makaiwi who i have been diggin for over a year, but she was dating some deal. Well they broke up last month, so I asked her to dinner after we both had to attend a community meeting for our Social Work class. She said yes, so last night as i'm driving to where she lives which is Pearl City (where the meeting was, which is far away from me) I call her and say hey I'm almost here, she says. "oh your still going to that?" I was like "ya" then she said ok i'll come i confirm dinner and she says "sure" which is the worst word to hear. So we get to the meeting and there is someone she knows so she leaves me for a bit and i'm sitting by myself, so I text my roommate Ian, "not a good sign when she forgets we were even doing this tonight," She comes back, sits down looks at her phone then shows me her phone, I ACCIDENTLY SENT THAT TEXT TO HER!!!!! Super awkward!!!!I hate my phone! I played it off, said ya that was for my roommate, she says its fine. long story short she was awkward the rest of the night, I don't feel like I was, but she was. Well, not a lead anymore.

Hope this brings you laughter

I'll report

Sorry guys, I havent posted lately, so here I go. Life has been hella busy and stressful with school and work. I'm honestly just rolling through school and trying to just finish it up asap so I can move back to California. I'm hoping that we will be back in Southern California by mid-2013. Thats our goal at least. Shouldnt be too tough to do it.

I am racing in a sprint triathlon this saturday, so I'm stoked about that. I'm hoping to make a good time since i've been training a hella lot. It's been good. Its getting cold now though, so I wont want to be running/biking outside too much after this race. Utah gets super cold and it pisses me right off.

We just had a pretty sweet weekend up at my cabin in Heber, Ut. We all went up there, went bowling, 4-wheeling, chilled, watched a scary movie, and just kicked it. It was a good weekend for sure.

Well, thats all for now. Gotta get to church. Here is a sweet version of "Moonlight" by Rebelution. Later

Life

So tomorrow will be the "1 month until Brit gets home" milestone. It has been rough but its going by pretty fast. So im just stoked for these next couple of months leading up to our wedding. As of late, I completed my first online class and Im trying to slam #2. Its alotta reading and stuff, but it is a good lever to raise your GPA nonetheless. So that and work is kind of where Im at now. Also, my new stick is dope. Its an epoxy board, retro fish...6'2 x 22 x 3. Big mans board and i love it. the thing paddles extremely well and it floats me like a champ. If I dont have work tomorrow I might even surf with Nate and Yustin. We shall see though.

DOES ANYONE READ THIS JONAS ANYMORE??? ID LOVE TO HEAR HOW EVERYONE IS DOING!!!!!!

DUSTIN KENSRUE

So remember on your mission when you were forced to defend your religion to people of other faiths. For me that was one of the ways I grew the most doctrinally and helped solidify my testimony. Well just been listening to classic born again doctrine over at marshill.com, which is the church that Dustin Kensrue goes to. He is actually a worship leader over there, which means he coaches bands and leads prayer and scripture. You can read about it here:

http://orangecounty.marshill.com/2011/10/20/meet-the-staff-dustin-kensrue/

The church is in Irvine and I think when Dustin gets back from tour Nate and I are gonna try and see him over there some time. Anyways The subject of grace and works are the biggest doctrinal traditions that born agains cling to. Mark Driscoll the head pastor and founder of mars hill church, (the church in which Dustin is a worship leader) says this about mormons :

Now Mark Driscoll, pastor of the high-profile Seattle-based Mars Hill Church, has added his voice to the fray -- agreeing that Christians should consider Mormons as members of a "cult" and not "brothers and sisters in a common faith."

"As the presidential race heats up and the prospect of a practicing Mormon as a viable Republican candidate becomes more a reality, there will be continued effort to bring Mormonism into the center of Christian orthodoxy. Thus, it's important to understand what the cult of Mormonism teaches, to understand that it's antithetical to Christianity, and that, while it's certain there are some Christians in the Mormon church who love the Jesus of the Bible and don't understand or agree with what their church teaches, the Mormon church could never be considered orthodox unless it made some serious and massive changes to it's theology..."

"Many Mormons are good neighbors, friends, and fellow citizens. But, we cannot go so far as to call them brothers and sisters in a common faith. To do so is to not only confuse real Christians, but to also diminish the importance of lovingly speaking with Mormons about the errors of their belief in hopes of seeing them come to know the real God of the Bible and avoiding eternal damnation for worshiping a false god."

so we can conclude that there is a likely chance that Dustin believes similarly about our religion........
Honestly the confusion the exists in the world on the doctrine of christianity is overwhelming. Can't wait until Christ is here on the earth to set things straight. can you imagine.......

Baby Jackson

Respek To Baby Jackson on his baby blessing!! Big ups all around

Why you wanna call the cops brah?

Hey guys, life has just been super busy these last few days. So like Nate said, I got flown down to California this past weekend to have 2nd round interviews with Ernst and Young (one of the big 4 accounting firms). My parents picked me up frideyyy and we went to the Ducks vs. Sharks game. It was quite a boring game and ended 1-0 Ducks. Chilled with Dave the next day, went to Peonys together on Doug, watched the BYU football game, then watched the Kings game at Dave's with Brad Wise too. Ended up going in the hot tub with just Dave and I cuz Yustin was down in San Diego that night. I would've come up to Nates baby blessing deal, but I had to go down to San Diego on Sunday and go eat with this guy from Ernst and Young. Sorry Nate :(

Anyways my interviews went way good. I had 3 interviews back to back to back. 2 45 min behavioral interviews, then a 45 minute business case analysis interview. Then got taken to a dope lunch. Ended with a 45 minute writing assessment deal. Got my set packed up and flew back to Salt Lake that night.

Yesterday I got a call from the office. They loved me and extended me an offer for an internship next summer! I'm freaking stoked on life right now. So after I do that internship, I should get a full time job offer and start with them the next year after I graduate. Prolly good to work in La Jolla (the office is literally down the street from the temple).

Sorry for the long post but thats whats been going down lately. Love you guys and stoked to have California as home in my near future!!

Email Chatted with Yoe the other night

It was mediocre. Just tried to trunk him out as much as I could. Went on a date, check out the details on my personal blog, paulclonts.blogspot.com. Don't judge the Salsa dancing till you've seen me in action with some chicks...good looking ones too!! I've been surfing like 3-4 times a week which is awesome. I'm super burnt out on school, but i'll just keep truckin along. Some drama went down with one of my friends, basically he hooked up with my other good friend's girlfriend then tried to hook up with my other friends ex gear, and more gay crap, so I pretty much friend dumped him (not literally, I just don't talk or text him anymore). So I just hate drama these days. How about an update from Ryan and Matt and Jeffe on the paperwork.

surj avsan um

We had a cool discussion this week in institute (for my BYU class) about the different ways God responds to our distress calls when we're in the midst of tribulation and affliction. Jack (my father in law who happens to be teaching the class) played a clip from The Other Side of Heaven; when Groberg and his two polly counselors get drilled and shipwrecked by the storm. After they finally swim to shore, one of his counselors says, "Sometimes the Lord calms the storm, and sometimes he calms the sailor." And he says, "Ans sometimes he just lets us swim."
So here we have 3 ways the Lord deals with our afflictions. Sometimes He answers our prayers immediately and takes away the affliction all together. Other times He helps us through it by strengthening us and/or lightening our burden a bit. And other times He just lets us swim because there is something we need to learn, or some character trait that we need to develop (patience, humility, etc.)
My personal epiphany was that the word "swim" implies directionality, unlike treading water. We are given afflictions that we may become better as we emerge from them, but we have to press forward and maintain that directionality. If tread water for too long and let our trials consume us, we eventually get tired and drown in the water of our afflictions. So, from now on, when I am experiencing the trials that will surely come, i will ask myself, am i swimming or just treading water?
Just thought I'd share....sorry for the length.

Dave grinding off a lock in front of Home Depot... IDIOT!!!

A lot of the time they think its my middle name, because of my FB. Some of them know, but they won't call me it, it would be weird.

Question for Hooze

Do kids (your replacement friends) in Hawaii refer to you as Hooze, or Paul?

ART

that was the most inspiring and beautiful story about a surf board that I have ever read. Im freaking stoked for you man!!! I wont have work next Fri...I dunno what you and Nate are doing, but I have to drive my gpa up to Newport for a Doctors appointment and I was thinking of going for a surf while I wait for him (its a long appointment). But Id love to see Candy Ringo in action.

CANDY RINGO

So I took Candy Ringo out this morning with Nate and oh set! At first Ringo seemed a bit stiff and I was worried that he had forgotten how to glide right. Nate put it this way, "dude I tried to just pump like I normally do and he was like no". After we figured out how to ride it a bit the day turned into christmas morning. With those older boards you can't just do those quick pumps and cheap cutbacks. You can cutback and pump but you have to really feel the wave and use some classy cruising style (whole body) to really get him to work right. It was a freaking treat to learn how to surf that way. In the back of my head I have always felt that there was that kind of style out there with these old boards and I have to say that Ive never been more stoked on surfing than I am right now. The board has so much meat on the front end that I was almost on the nose on one wave and almost rid the wave to the shore. I realized that Candy Ringo is full of tricks. Sometimes I just stare at the board and think my, that board is perfect. Anyways when I caught the first wave and got a feel for how Ringo does things where he comes from, I looked to the sky and thanked God for that wave. Nate thinks that this board is a christening of a new life for me. He thinks that from now on my luck is going to change and that Ringo is going to be the lever. I say thats sounds like poetry.

Justin, congrats on that new board. I have a crush on it! Someday when Alex and I move back to California i'm looking forward to building up my quiver with sick boards like that! I'm looking forward to hearing the review of the board.

Jeffe, you'll definitely be in my prayers. I REALLY want you to be sealed in the temple in November. Its the only way to go these days! Good luck in taking care of all the paperwork. It must be a bummer, but it'll be worth it in the end!!!

ATLANTIS, 6'5 X 2 3/4 X 20 1/2

Bought this board for $150 and I'm so stoked to ride it. Ive been wanting a board like this for years and I can't wait to surf it. probably this fridee. The tail is a little thinner than I'm used to but I think I can handle it. I think it will just take some time. When we picked it up we were so stoked the whole way home that nate and I kept looking back at it and laughing all the way home. Never been more stoked for a surfboard in all my days in this land.

Help a brotha out

So if you are not aware, Maria and I are getting married on November 25th. However, because of her previous marriage, we're having to do a lot bull set to get that deal cancelled. It requires a letter from her ex, then two letters are sent to the first presidency, and to hear back can take as little as 3 weeks or as long as several months. But her dushbag of an ex still hasn't returned his letter to her bishop, and since we are two months away from the wedding date, time really is of the essence. So if you could do me a favor and just keep us in your prayers that all will go accordingly and that we will be able to be sealed on the 25th of November.
However, if we don't get the response back in time, we will still have a civil wedding, but of course we are praying and hoping to be sealed on the same day. Cause like I said, there is no time fram, it could be another ten months before we hear back from the first presidency, and we just dont want to wait around that long to be married, so we would just end up getting sealed as soon as we get that response. Any comments, opinions, suggestions are welcomed please, but thanks for the prayers :)

Forgot even

Hey guys. Since we moved from the Flying Idiots blog i've found myself slacking to look at this blog. But I just caught myself up to date and Its good to read all the new stuff going on with you guys. Its been such a different pace of life for me since being married. I dont see the other guys very much at all, and that is partly my fault/my problem and I apologize to the guys up here in Utah. I've been hella busy though. School, work, marriage, and cycling consume my life.

I recently (3 weeks ago) got on the UVU Cycling team and so I've been doing a ton of cycling. We did a 92 mile ride on saturday night around Utah Lake which was prolly good. I'll be competing against about 6 other schools with the UVU team in the spring so I'm trying to get myself in good shape before the cold slows my riding down. Then I'll be riding on trainers at home and with the team to keep my legs strong. Its a sweet deal. We have sponsors and stuff so we get sweet hookups.

Well, that is about the newest and coolest thing thats been going on for me. I hate school and cannot wait to be done and out of Utah. But we will most likely be here for at least another 2 years... but after that I'm freaking outa here.

Stoked for conference this weekend.

Quick story: about a year before he left on his mission we were watching conference together and Joe wouldn't stop making jokes about how President Eyring looked like a toad and joe kept ribbitting like a toad during his talk.

Future Plans in Different Lands

So technically speaking I walk in April, then I need to do a field practicum, so over the summer I will find an agency or organization that I will Intern with. Then i will receive my diploma. So right now i'm thinking of doing my field practicum in one of 4 places:

1. Australia
2. New Zealand
3. Hawaii
4. England

They are in no particular order. But after those three months I am leaning toward coming back to *Hawaii as of right now.

*This could be determined by a strong lead or gear, but as of now I'm planning on taking the fall after my internship to just work, surf my balls off and have a bitchin time

Oh Ok

Hey Navid, let me know how that yob deal works out, and what that Price guy says. And Hooze, I concur with Matt, congradufreakinglations, thats sick that your graduating, im excited for ya, and I second Matts question about what you plan on doing after and where.

Well as for me fellas, I am just under two months from getting married, im freaking stoked. We even found some sort of sweet apartment last saturday in Draper Utah, its about half way between my school and Maria's work, its right off the freeway, has two shopping centers close buy with lots of snacks, and a park right across the street, and a small lake that has lots of ducks right by our building (which could be lots of fun), so I way excited to move in. Although I know its kinda far from a lot of you idiots, but we'll work something out.

Been there, Done that

Nave I know exactly how you feel. It seriously sucks, and most of the time skype just doesnt do it justice. But, it does come to an end and then you will be freaking stoked and getting married!!! Also on your yob search, maybe you could talk to Doug and set up cones, or maybe get the balls out of the storage. That would be hilarious. But yah that pumpkin patch would be funny and I would never buy one from you.

Yustin that board looks doper than his pope and for 175 id say thats prolly good. You could prolly even work him down a little if you have good bargaining strategies.

Hooze congrats on graduating! Thats insane dude. What are your future plans after you graduate? Coming back to the mainland? Where/What are you going to do for work? Stoked for you.

N8 tell your child hi.

YES YES YES

should i buy this or jst?

TPTGAS + Prolly good = ya

So i'm very angry that Major/Minor has not yet arrived in my mailbox after i pre-ordered it over a month ago.

On a brighter note, i graduate April 14th, 2012!!!!! Super weird. I know its not in any of your budgets but i want to invite all the flying idiots and their wives to come, if you don't that's cool too. My graduation application is due on Friday...crazy.

Navid

If you're not working, lets surf on Fridee!

oh, and sorry about your hardships and set.

Trials

So its pretty tough being separated from my fiance...shes been gone for almost a month now and we still have 2 more months to go until she gets back. Im sure that some of you can relate because you were in similar circumstances. But ya, it freaking blows fat goat. Also, the painting business is pretty tough because jobs are becoming more and more sparse. I would have to drive over an hour and a half each way just to work. Hence, I am on the job hunt once again. I go into Ponte winery on Wed. and I am also talking with Trevor Lindahl about old navy...im not one for fashion, but old navy is def not my cup of tea. but hey, its a paycheck i guess. Also, my brother found a lead for working at a pumpkin patch....its $10 an hour and it would be oh so hilarious. hahah. anyways, i miss chillin with you guys. glad we have this blog so we can keep in touch.

Interviews and Life

This week has been insane for me. I have been going to dinners and interviewing with all of the Big 4 accounting firms. When we interview with them we have to have our locations of which offices we want to work in. Just to keep you guys up to date I've been applying for the San Diego or Irvine or LA offices. So if things work out I could be back living in southern california hahahahahaha Respek!

Also big ups to Jeffe gettin on the blog. And respek to nate with that great find.

One more thing, this might be isys, but just gonna throw this idea out there...on Google+ (the social networking site that isnt facebook) you can do what they call a "hangout" where you video chat (skype) with up to 10 people. It would be funny to get whoever has webcams on their one night and just laugh together. Let me know what you guys think. Sign.

GREAT FIND NATE!!!!!

First off we FGB members enjoy subway, but there was a lot of drama with Jared that i don't feel like getting into right now thought so just fax me the address and i will get the word out to those in that local chapter that remain ignorant. Not sure how many know I'm still waiting for their quarterly reports. :)

Thoughts from F.G.B. ?

Found a great lever today!
There is a gas station near my route at which I frequently (prolly twice a week) fill up my Fedex truck. It has a Subway in it and I just found out that every time I fill up my Fedex truck, i get a 100% FREE sandwich from the Subway! Got a turkey one today. All i gotta do is show them the gas receipt, and they ask my what sandwich i want. How sick is that?!

:)

OH MAN IM BEHIND

Totally forgot about this blog but i'm caught up now and I have some thoughts. As far as marriage goes I like that quote that matt brought up I mean any kind of gospel idea that supports my complacency well I'm just all for it (lazy wink). Truth is I just don't feel ready to even make that step right now I don't think I fully understand why since it seems everyones married or trying hard to. I'm not going to make that decision any faster than it feels right. Especially since my parents have split up I feel I have this huge need for the right person. I do have to start trying though.

I think it is so interesting that I was a missionary for two years and I'm just now starting to feel truly independent in the gospel. I've decided that just no matter what I'm going to stick with the church. I need it too bad in my life to fall behind. My dad and I are the only people in my whole family that have stuck with the church and I have to say that it is hard.

Right now I'm in mosiah 23. I was blown away by the story of Abinadi. The message he gives king noah is awesome. He really just lays it all out while knowing he was going to die. This world is so confusing some times especially when forced to contrast good and evil people. How can people be so evil? It is a beautiful thing to see people so righteous that they will lay down their lives for the gospel. They are the real heroes. I want to be like that. I want a testimony that strong.

I've been really into finding new music and ill posting here check them out if you want.

The Fireside

I also attended the CES jonas. I feel a lot of members needed to hear about the tolerance piece because they have so much hate for those who are different than they are. We can still love those who do and believe in things different than the gospel teaches. Obviously we must be careful in how tolerant we become, but I love when he said that there is already enough radicalism in the world and that we must be meek and understanding in our stance for truth. My favorite quote was, "We should no be tolerant with ourselves. We must be ruled by truth." I really enjoyed it and would like to print it out and go over it again.

On my leads, one little hipster chick that i was feeling is kinda hooking up or has a fling with my good friend so that is unfortunate. Other than that just getting as many leads as I can, but i'm not going to stress on it these days, just like Sister Oaks said (which was my favorite part too matt) I'm going to work on being a better disciple of Christ.

Can't wait to hear Major/Minor

Matt is correct

Unfortunately Alex and I were unable to see the conference with Elder Oaks last night, but I heard it was way good. I heard he said some really relevant things for us in this time in life. I'll prolly take matt up on his idea and watch it for FHE tonight.
Also, there is a song on Major/minor called "Words in the Water", and it is one of the most amazing Thrice songs i've heard. The lyrics are all about a book (the bible) that is full of laws and commandments that are just so impossible to live up to. But at the end of the song Jesus comes and lifts our burdens and satisfies the demands of justice. This is why I love Thrice. They know that there is a heavenly plan and that it is only through Christ that we can be saved. So awesome!!!

Elder Oaks

So Emma and I watched Elder Oaks' CES Fireside last night. His wife also spoke. One thing I thought was interesting that she said was, she was talking to the singles of the church (she was single until 53 when she married Elder Oaks after Elder Oaks' first wife passed away)...she said something to the effect of "Do not focus all your efforts on getting married. Focus on being a disciple of Christ." Whether we are married or not, focusing an becoming a disciple of Christ will draw others to us, and I'm sure we will be much happier in life. Elder Oaks (was a Supreme Court Justice) ended his talk about the church and specifically us young adults and the public square. I feel like the world is only getting worse, and he is preparing us that we will have to do lots of petitioning and public standing for what is right. Prop 8 I feel was only the beginning. So yah those were my thoughts, and I'm sure you can re-watch the fireside on www.lds.org for family home evening tonight if you want :)

Just Call Me DAD

Jackson got his foreskin chopped off on Wednesday and was 2p2gas, but they gave us something to put on his johnson to help it heal, to ward off infection, and to make it feel better. Do you know what that magic ointment is?......

Ya, it's Jelly. I have to squeeze a set load of it on every time his diaper is changed.
Seriously guys, it's freaking awesome being DAD, but i am tired. I can't wait for you guys to meet him, he's hilarious.

Uncle Paul X3

So just had a date with my lead. It was our first date. Since i have no money, we took a bike ride to Castles beach and swam, then we posted up on a good sitting log/still-alive-tree and talked for like two hours. We just talked about all kinds of stuff. She is a way classy girl, won't stand for anything she doesn't like (i.e. cussing & vulgarity) which in reality is what i need. But i don't know she seems pretty cool, so we'll see. I'm kinda stoked on it, and it wasn't any money. She is the one on the right. Her name is McKayli.

Dad?

No but seriously Nate is DAD now! Crazy dude, and congrats and the birth of that little child. Jackson should be funny when he grows up. Do you think he will be as artistic as Jacob in The Testaments? "You are a gift of the Gods" Respekt Nate!

2 Nephi 30:17

Dave, In my opinion I think the scripture is referring to how in this world there is nothing that cannot be fixed. Even sealing on Earth can be loosed if it absolutely needed to be. The darkness and light part is talking about how there is no evil that cannot be overcome by goodness. Satan can never have power over the light of God. In the next verse it says how Satan shall no longer have power over the Children of Men. Basically, Satan can only have as much control as we give him. I think that is what the scripture is referring to, but I could be wrong. Just my interpretation.

?

SO what do we do now?? Do we bring up spiritual discussions/questions....if so, I have a question. Im currently finishing up 2nd Nephi and I have been pondering about a certain verse. 2 Nephi 30:17 can be interpreted in so many different ways I think. I know that the chapter in general is describing the restoration of Israel. But when it says that ALL darkness shall be manifested into light, what do you guys think of?? I mean, there are so many terrible things going on in the world right now. Any thoughts???

Pre-mission Joe would be pissed, but i'm not

But I add my stoke to that which has been expressed. I had a great sunday. Talked to my bishop about some stuff, he gave me an assignment, and i asked for a blessing. ! I can't wait to get back to the temple and work there regularly again, might be a week or two but I love working there.

On another note, have a few leads, we'll see what time has to offer :)

I like the Birds

I'm excited about this blog, though i will miss the other one. I had a tremendous Sunday today. I'm reading Jesus the Christ and read the chapter all about the history of the Jews and the house of Israel. It was very interesting. Testimony meeting was great, too. And if you haven't read your Patriarchal Blessing recently, I'd recommend it.
And just to update, the baby isn't here yet; he was due 3 days ago....already a jokester

Carrraaazzzyyy

The new blog will be different, but I am stoked nonetheless!!!

The start of a new era/jonas

Stoked about this new blog. It'll be different transitioning from the other blog to this one, but i'd say prolly good. So thanks Matt, for starting this up. I'm excited to hear about everyones lives. So has Nate and his gear birthed that child yet???

Welcome ;)

So this new blog will hopefully accomplish these goals:
1. To keep in touch and update one another on our lives while...
2. Edifying one another with family/spiritual/good events happening and...
3. keeping this in mind:
